Each and every Tuesday morning you will receive an email alert informing you of any new or reviewed child care centre resources, products, coaching packages or scheduled webcasts. On the 1st of each month the DIWY Newsletter is posted to the members area and the DIWY Event Flyers a few days later.
Sometimes all we need is a simple set of instructions. The Compliance area consists of a series of what we call Coaching and Implementation Packages for operational functions that must be supplied by a childcare service for it to comply with the National Quality Standards. Each has been tried & proven in the field.
System 7 is the evolution of the old Advantage module and will consist of a series of management routines for each Quality Area of the National Quality Standards. The fundamental routines and associated resources will be delivered via ‘dynamic cycle diagrams’ (DCD’s). This form of delivery was again developed out of conversations with Educators lacking in time but requiring quick understanding and even faster implementation.
To support the Coaching and Implementation packages and to effect greater understanding a growing series of audio & video presentations are available in this module of the Childcare Centre Desktop.
If you’re running out of time getting an informative newsletter completed for families and need an alternative our Do-it-with-you Newsletter resource is an ideal ‘time saving’ solution. Each month we research and submit up to 70% of the newsletter content and leave the balance available for you to submit centre specific information such as; room news, Educator profiles and important events.
Whether it be for important Service based issues or community events that you support, numerous messages are conveyed to families each month. The DIWY Event Flyers is similar to the Newsletter resource whereby we supply the layout and at least 70% of the message content and leave enough space for you to submit your specific message or call to action. DIWY Event Flyers can be posted on your noticed board or emailed.
Due to recent demand we are officially launching this resource in 2014. While a percentage of Services have waiting lists and produce regular profits others struggle for placements and find it tough to pay wages each week. Irrespective, both have their own commercial challenges so we have opened our books to work one-on-one with Owners or Managers to solve these issues. Limited spaces apply.
Our extensive childcare policy library spans all 7 Quality Areas and is written with reference and consideration to the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standards and Education and Care Services National Regulation. All childcare policies are in first draft format (WORD) so they can be easily amended to match your own service’s culture and style. Selections of policies are reviewed every month.
Based on the principle that it’s much quicker and easier to create childcare service letters and forms from ‘first-drafts’ we are growing a library of documents used in all facets of managing a childcare facility. The majority of the templates are created in conjunction with our coaching packages but can also be applied independently depending on your needs. Each childcare service letter template will be created in a WORD format so editing and ‘copy-paste’ functions are familiar and easy.
The Child Journey resource is being developed as an internal promotional tool with the sole objective of encouraging referral. Positive referral within your community is your biggest and most cost effective way to either grow or maintain a healthy occupancy level and once again it’s all based on fundamentals. This resource will remind you of what you are already doing, what you should be doing and offer tools to enhance the experience for families.
System 7 will be supported by another new resource called Case Studies. There’s no better way to solve a problem than to learn from others who have already solved it for themselves. Case Studies will be a sharing of ‘real life’ childcare service issues and the solutions applied. For members, thinking about what needs to be done will be replaced by decisive action.
