FAQ

  • I'm having Multi-Factor Authentication issues? What can I do to resolve?
    I don’t want to receive my 2FA code via email OR I dont want to receive via smart phone app. 
    Please contact [email protected] and request to reset the configuration.
    I can’t find the QR code OR the QR code in the guide isn’t working!
    The QR code will be shown once only on the Desktop when selecting the smart phone option. Please refer to the guide for full steps. Download the guide here.
    When I submit my code it says its invalid?
    This is due to the email expiring (they last for 5minutes on email, or 30seconds with authenticator app) Click on Resend Code / wait for a new code to progress.
    I’m logging in but it keeps refreshing the page or asking me to purchase a new subscription.
    This indicates that your browser has not recognised you are logged in correctly. It can be caused by being logged in on multiple devices, or not being logged out successfully. Contact [email protected] to log you out of all locations. You will also need to clear your browser cookies and cache.
    Can I have the code sent to an SMS?
    We have two options – via email or using your smart phone / device with the Google Authenticator App. The steps are in the guide here!

    Can I remove the code process?
    The two factor authentication is a permanent feature of the website
  • How much will a membership cost?

    Subscription fees to the Desktop were initially decided during a pilot study for services situated in remote or regional areas of Australia. We wanted to ensure that price would not be an obstacle for any service irrespective of location, size or type. We since have introduced the following options;

    • Long Day Care, Preschools, OSHC and FDC Schemes – Quarterly – $147.00
    • Long Day Care, Preschools, OSHC and FDC Schemes – Annual – $397.00
  • Is there a guarantee?

    Our annual (12 month) membership has a 100% Satisfaction – 21 Day Money Back Guarantee. In the event that the Desktop’s program and resources are not meeting your expectations you will receive a full refund of the subscription purchased. You must contact us within the 21 day period.  Please note that no refund for any unused portion of your membership term is available under any other circumstances.

  • Do I have to sign a long term contract?

    Annual membership – 12 months (If you proceed beyond the 21 day guarantee)

    Quarterly membership – a minimum of 3 months

  • Can I cancel my membership?

    Yes – the quarterly or annual membership can be cancelled after the initial term. If you do not cancel the membership it will remain active and debits will continue to be deducted either quarterly or annually, depending on your membership.

  • What types of payments do you accept?

    Our preferred supplier to accept and manage on-line transactions is eWay. Details can be found on the Sign Up page.

  • Any questions before you join our community of Educators?

    If you have questions about the Childcare Centre Desktop or the sign up process just let us know by sending a message from the Contact Us page.

  • How (and where) do I know if a resource has been updated?

    Each Monday we send our our member alerts which inform if a resource (or policy) has been reviewed and updated, a new resource has been posted or a location has been changed.

    An amendment to a document can be recognised as follows:

    • Yellow highlight – represents text which has been updated
    • Strike-through – any text with a line through should be deleted
    • Red text – represents statements which may need to be contextualised to your own circumstances, location or physical environment
  • Downloading member area resources

    The efficiency of your computer and internet connection will usually determine how long it will take to open or download a file from the Desktop. Most templates are in either PDF or WORD and should only take 20 to 40 seconds to open. Some files may be larger hence will take a little longer.

  • I need to change my email address on the account.

    Please contact us here with your preferred email address and we will get this arranged within 48 hours.

  • I can’t gain access to the Desktop!

    Please provide as much detail as possible via the contact page here so we can assist to resolve – which part of the login process are you unsure about ?

  • My login details aren’t being accepted! Help!

    Please ensure you are using your primary user email (this is the email on your account) and click on ‘Don’t remember your password?’ to reset the password. If you are unsure what your primary user account email is, please contact [email protected]
